The historic home 'Palmerston' was built in 1911 and has been restored in line with the architecture of the home offering all the luxury and comfort of a world class retreat. The 7 spacious and beautifully restored rooms feature king sized beds, antique furniture, ensuites and other contemporary touches to ensure your stay is perfect. Luxurious full sized spa baths or clawfoot baths are available in 5 suites.

Leisurely breakfasts in the beautifully restored drawing room overlooking the English gardens is a perfect beginning whilst relaxing in front of a roaring fire with an award winning wine in the Great Hall is the perfect ending.

Deluxe Spa Suite

A beautifully appointed suite with views of the Heritage Gardens. The suite contains a king sized bed and large spa bath in the ensuite bathroom as well as separate shower. This includes a complimentary cheese platter on arrival, breakfast for two people and a bottle of Petersons Wine on departure.

Premium Spa Suite

This two room suite consists of a large bedroom with King Sized Bed, separate lounge area and an ensuite bathroom with separate shower and a luxurious oval spa bath. This includes a complimentary cheese platter on arrival, breakfast for two people and a bottle of Petersons Wine on departure.

Romance Suite

A luxurious suite with a king sized bed in the bedroom and a beautiful claw foot bath in the heritage style bathroom. This ensuite also contains a separate shower. This includes breakfast for two people and a complimentary bottle of Petersons Wine on departure.

Traditional Suite

A lovely suite that has a queen sized bed and an ensuite bathroom with a pampering shower. The Guesthouse has 2 Traditional Suites and one of these is suitable for disabled access. This includes breakfast for two people and a complimentary bottle of Petersons Wine on departure.

Business Facilities

The guesthouse has a beautiful Executive Boardroom with seating for 15 people.

Rooms are guaranteed for a 2.00pm arrival. If you require an early check-in please advise us. Please contact us if you will be arriving after 8.30pm

Children and Extra Guests Details

The Premium Spa suite has a sofa bed that will accommodate an additional guest. The extra person rate is $50 per night and this includes breakfast. Please note that we do not accommodate children under 12 years old. All other room types have a King Bed only and accommodate a maximum of 2 guests

Travel Directions

From the Turn off on the New England Highway to Petersons should take approximately 15 minutes.

Travelling North on the New England Highway - Turn Right at roundabout just after Armidale airport following signs to Armidale.
Follow this road (Kentucky Street) till you reach another roundabout, turn left then take an immediate right into Kentucky Street (this is an extension of the road you were on).
Approximately 1 km along this road you will see a brown tourist sign directing you to Tourist Route 19 and Dangar Falls. Turn right here and follow this road for 4 km (Dangarsleigh road). The Guesthouse is located on the Left hand side and the property is surrounded by a large hedge. Follow signs along the driveway to the Guesthouse.

Things To Do

Situated on the historic Palmerston property. The Cellar Door which is situated in the restored horse stables has unique surroundings in which you can enjoy tasting our premium wine varieties including Chardonnay, Semillon, Sauvignon Blanc, Riesling, Pinot Noir, Shiraz, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. The wine produced from this vineyard has already won awards in the major wine shows.

Function facilities available 7 days a week by appointment.
