Clere Apartment
Up one flight of stairs, facing large courtyard, traffic noise not an issue. Great location, contemporary decor. No smoking inside apartment, you can smoke on the balcony. Perfect for corporate or holiday visitors, not suited to weddings or bridal parties. Airport shuttle outside front door of building.
Kings Apartment
Large bedroom, study, sitting room has double doors to balcony, bathroom, kitchen. Apartment faces internal courtyard traffic noise not an issue. Great location, Cacao chocolatier left and Mirka restaurant right. Cable tv, internet, telephone, chic decor . Apartment is up one flight of stairs. The apartment is non smoking so smokers please use the balcony. Perfect for business visitors and tourists, not suitable for bridal parties and weddings
The Caroline Chisholm Room
Caroline Chisholm room derives its name from this famous Australian pioneer. A delightful mix of fresh green and white, light and bright in summer, cosy and snug in winter. The Dorothe Mackellar Room
Our ground floor room is named after Australian poet Dorothea MacKellar author of the famed "My Country". Located on the ground floor for those who may prefer not to use the stairs. Decor in contemporary cream and black with aboriginal artworks. Wireless access is available in the Mackellar. Opening sash window. Large ensuite bathroom.
The Edna Walling Room
A tribute to landscape gardening pioneer Edna Walling, this room is decorated lavishly with a beautiful black and white fabric depicting 18th century pastoral scenes. (Edna Walling had a passion for black and white photography.) It has a king bed which can easily be converted to two king singles. Ensuite bathroom and opening sash window.
The Henry Lawson Room
The famous Australian poet and writer Henry Lawson gives his name to our most opulent room decorated in rich gold, navy and copper brocades. This room is also ideal for honeymooners or for those just wanting to pamper themselves for that special occasion. The ensuite has separate bath and shower. Wireless is available in the Lawson. Large lcd television. Opening sash windows.
The Melba Suite
Named after the famous Australian opera diva, Dame Nellie Melba, the Melba suite has been designed for that wonderful indulgence. The bedroom, with king bed, has traditional sash windows. The suite has its own separate living room opening on to a private balcony at the front of the building while the ensuite has a separate bath and shower. Wireless access is available in the Melba. Colourful eastern lorikeets visit the fountain below in summer months.
The Norman Lindsay Room
Our Norman Lindsay Room is gentle sophistication itself in soft grey, cream and gold. We have named this room after controversial Australian artist and novelist Norman Lindsay. This tranquil room features a decorative fireplace, ensuite bathroom. The window faces north and the room is light and sunny, warm and welcoming. Opening sash window. Wireless access is available in the room
The sidney Nolan Room
The Sidney Nolan Room is in terracotta and gold, named after Australian painter Sidney Nolan who grew up here in St Kilda. It has a king bed which can easily be converted to two king singles. The Nolan is entered from an upstairs north facing (sunny in the southern hemisphere) balcony. Sit on the balcony and see the vividly coloured eastern lorikeets in the summer months visiting the neighbours eucalyptus tree for breakfast. Two comfortable teak outdoor chairs are on the balcony

Travel Directions
Coming from Melbourne cbd - drive along St Kilda Road, turn right in to Fitzroy Street, drive 800 m. turn right into Canterbury Road, drive 200 m. turn left into Mary. From Port Melbourne: drive south along Beaconsfield parade 3 km:s turn left into Mary Street. From Nepean Hwy and Mornington Peninsula drive towards the city, drive past Carlisle Street after about 1.5 km:s turn left into Fitzroy Street. From M1 Gippsland - exit M1 at Bourke Rd, turn left, drive to T intersection Dandenong Road, turn right. Watch the speed cameras. Immediately after Chapel Street (has the old Astor Art Deco theatre on corner) veer left into a small street Wellington, sign indicates St Kilda turnoff. Stay on this road, go over intersection and you will be in Fitzroy Street then drive 800 m. turn right into Canterbury, 200 m. left into Mary Street. Remember if using a gps/tomtom/satmap key in St Kilda West.

Fountain Terrace is an excellent alternative to large, city hotels. Penny and Heikki have created a professional yet friendly environment for the business person or visitor to Melbourne. Fountain Terrace is conveniently situated on a beautiful tree-lined avenue just moments from the sea. There are many restaurants and cafes just a short walk from us, the beach is five minutes walk at the end of Mary Street. Albert Park Lake - home to Melbournes Formula One Grand Prix is five minutes walk. A short tram ride and you are in Melbourne city centre. Royal Botanic Gardens are accessible by tram 16
