The hotel was built in the 1860's and in it's former years The Hotel Charsfield was a private home that was frequented by the aristocracy of Melbourne. Today the Hotel has been tastefully restored and renovated into a beautiful boutique four star hotel offering it's guests an opportunity to experience its ambiance and soak up the atmosphere of a former grand era.

Tea may be taken on the veranda, or lunch on the lawn, cocktails before dinner in the Hotel bar, dine a la carte in elegant surrounds and after dinner a round of snooker is always on offer in the Snooker room which boasts a full sized snooker table.

For a relaxed and pampered stay Massage, Facials and other beauty treatments are available in your room or in the on-site beauty treatment room. The Hotel also offers the use of our beautifully appointed Reading room with complementary books, magazines and newspapers, we also have a PC available for our guests to use which has free wireless internet connectivity. The hotel also offers free access to a fully equipped professional gym (off site) for all our guests over the age of 16.

Off street parking is available (at cost) and guests are welcome to leave the car and make their way to the city center by tram, only a short 5 minute trip from the Hotel's front door or to trendy Chapel Street to experience the fantastic shopping or to St. Kilda to visit the beach and numerous restaurants, cafes and bars.

The Hotel Charsfield boasts two conference rooms. The first is a dedicated board room with floor to ceiling windows and independantly controlled heating or cooling. The board room can accommodation up to 14 people.

The second room is a conference room, this has large french doors that lead to a open courtyard for the use of our guests. The conference room can accommodate up to 40 people.
