Located in a koala corridor, within easy walking distance to beautiful One Mile Beach and the Tomaree National Park, Wanderers Retreat offers you a choice of two bedroom family cottages or luxury Treehouse accommodation. Wanderers Retreat was officially confirmed as one of the best places to stay in NSW when it was selected as the 2004 NSW Toursim Award Winner for accommodation up to and including AAA rated 3 1/2 stars. Nestled in a quiet bush setting, Wanderers Retreat is the perfect retreat for couples, families and groups. The ECO cottages have been built with a minimum impact on the surrounding environment. It is very common to see koalas on our property or in the surrounding area as we are located in a koala habitat.

We feature a 12m freeform pool, 1.2 - 1.8 m deep, two large BBQ settings, reception, ample parking for boats, 1.9 hectares of bushland (approx 3 acres), located in Koala habitat, private setting, quiet area, while close to the hustle of "The Bay", easy walk to One Mile Beach, Tomaree National Park, 4 beaches within easy walking distance, 3 kms from Stockton Beach and close to all local attractions & activities.

Family Cottages:

An ECO cottage at Wanderers Retreat is the perfect retreat for couples, families or groups. Each quality 2 bedroom cottage is fully equipped with modern facilities.

Features

2 Bedrooms, sleeps up to 5 people, fully self contained, all cottage linen, lounge, TV, Video, CD / Radio, private bathroom with shower, full kitchen with crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils, covered verandah with outdoor setting, ceiling and pedestal fans and heating and breakfast baskets can be arranged on request.

Our AAA rated 3/1/2 star family cottages are positioned for privacy. Enjoy a short break, annual holiday or weekend away in one of our cedar clad individual cottages. Relax with friends, a cuppa or a glass of wine on the full length covered verandah. The cottages cater for up to 5 people, but with the addition of a fold away bed can accommodate 6 guests.

Treehouses:

Spoil yourself and the one you love at Wanderers Retreat, elevated amid the foliage in luxury Treehouse accommodation. Built especially for couples, the ambiance conveys a feeling of intimacy, yet the soaring ceilings and generous use of glass create a sense of spaciousness. Equipped with your own private double spa, air conditioning, undercover parking and private barbeque facilities. There are other little things that will make the stay a memorable one - robes, truffles, complimentary sparkling wine and the privacy of Wanderers Retreat's bushland setting.

Features

Queen Bed, double spa, all linen - including robes, heated towel rail, hairdryer, leather lounge, air conditioning, large TV, DVD, mini system, kitchenette, private BBQ, private deck, undercover parking, port, plunger coffee and breakfast baskets can be arranged on request.

Travel Directions

Follow the signs to Nelson Bay until you reach the Anna Bay area.

At the Anna Bay Round-a-bout, just after the David Graham golf driving range, turn right into Gan Gan Road, travelling through Anna Bay to One Mile Beach.At the Boat Harbour roundabout, turn left into Koala Place. Access is no longer possible from Eucalyptus Drive.
You will find us near the end of the street, on the left.

Turn in at our sign and park at designated area, the office is signposted.
