Each of our 3-level Oystercatcher and Cormorant bush apartments are elements of a creatively designed 4-star (AAA rated) duplex pair. Though they adjoin each other they do so only by their adjoining mezzanine-level bathrooms. Double brickwork, double fire doors and outdoor screens and plantings provide efficient sound and visual separation. Each apartment overlooks Lake Willinga,100m away. Kookaburra is our highest featured and best cottage. Though unrated by AAA, it would rate close to 5 stars if it was. It has 2 king-bed bedrooms (1 king is zippable) and 1 queen bedroom that can sleep up to 7. Using the lounge room a maximum of 8 can be accommodated in this cottage. It is clad in earth brick and makes extensive use of hardwood timber. It is usually used as the owners residence but when they are away it is open for on-line booking. When used by guests the office will be locked. There is a lounge room and large open farmhouse kitchen/dining area. Kookaburra has wood stoves (one for cooking if desired), gas stove and an extensive veranda overlooking a large dam. There are two bathrooms, one is an ensuite and a separate toilet. The main bedroom contains a king bed and an upstairs bedroom contains twin singles that can be zipped to make another king bed. The lounge contains a Moran lounge and chaise longue that can be used for single sleeping and there is space for up to 2 foldup beds there too., The adjoining dam makes the cottage totally unsuitable for guests with young children or indeed any person without advanced swimming skills.
