Built in 1866, set on the main street of Northam, with the beautiful Avon River at the rear of the hotel which hosts the longest pedestrian suspension bridge in Australia and the only white swans to breed in WA. The Shamrock Hotel is one of Northam's most sought after hotels, just one hour from Perth. The building is one of the valley's finest examples of colonial architecture. The interior has been meticulously restored and contains memorabilia from the town's settlement. Ambience and charm are only part of the hotel's appeal. Its reputation as one of rural West Australia's premier establishments has been built on a foundation of quality and service. The 13 individualy designed suites combine colonial elegance with discreetly intergrated modern facilities which include reverse cycle air-conditioning, remote control television, fridges and tea and coffee facilities. All rooms have well appointed en-suite facilities, we also have spa suites and for those who really wish to indulge themselves, we have deluxe spa suites with complementary champagne and chocolates. Hotel facilities include Main bar, sports bar, function room, conference room, restaurant and beer garden. We can cater for Weddings, theme nights, birthday celebrations, tourist luncheons and private dinner parties.
