Seppeltsfield Vineyard Cottage is exclusively for one couple, self-contained, and winner of multiple National & South Australia Tourism Awards. A restored 1860s German settler's cottage, heritage features are combined with modern luxuries. Located in our private Barossa Valley vineyard, the cottage is the only accommodation on the property, guaranteeing privacy from other guests. Owners & wine producers Sharyn and Peter, live nearby on the property and welcome the opportunity to assist with touring and winery advice.



Complimentary experiences included in your package are transfers to and from nearby Appellation restaurant, (prior notice required to ensure availability), a half hour walk through the vineyard with Peter if you wish to learn about how to successfully grow premium grapes for premium wine and a heritage tour for two of Seppeltsfield Estate Winery. (value $30)



Just 60 minutes from the Adelaide CBD and Airport via a dual lane highway, we are only a 5 minute drive from Maggie Beer's Farmshop & Appellation restaurant, and next door to Hentley Farm restaurant and the iconic Seppeltsfield Winery. On winter nights enjoy the open fire, underfloor heating in the bathroom, heated towels and the deep rainwater bath with views to the vineyard. Wool carpet covers the bedroom and lounge room floors, providing a cosy, quiet ambience. Enjoy music from the Bose sound systems and iPod Docking Stations in the lounge and bathroom. Individually controlled reverse cycle air conditioning heats and cools all rooms in the cottage. Enjoy breakfast prepared inside at your custom made kitchenette or dine alfresco outside using the custom made jarrah and baltic outdoor kitchenette and Weber BBQ. Everything provided is pure quality, including Wusthof knives and Scanpan saucepans.



Cottage features include: Large, carpeted master bedroom with pillow-top king bed, woollen underlay and crisp Sheridan linen. Huge modern ensuite bathroom with double shower, heated towels, Molton Brown toiletries, granite topped vanity unit, Bose Wave radio, CD player & iPod Dock, and sumptuous San Francisco Telegraph Hill bath robes. The living area includes a Jetmaster open wood fire, 32" LED LCD TV, Bose 3.2.1 sound system, Bose iPod Dock, quality designer drapes and soft furnishings. A range of DVDs, CDs, books and games, SA Life, Country Style and Barossa Living magazines are provided for your enjoyment.

Complimentary breakfast provisions: Bread from the local bakery, Fleming & Ware organic muesli, estate made fig & almond jam plus a choice of Beerenberg jams, Linkes double smoked bacon, eggs from our own hens, local Jersey Fresh milk (the dairy is only 4kms down the road!), biodynamic yoghurts, Goulburn Valley fruits, orange & apple juice, tomatoes, butter, pancake mix, and a selection of Twinings teas. There are enough provisions provided for a 2 night stay and your breakfast provisions are restocked during your stay if required.

Seasonally, the cottage garden produces lettuces, tomatoes, spring onions, chillies, spinach, snow peas, parsley, basil, lemon thyme, rosemary, quinces, figs, cherries, lemons. Our geese wander in the paddocks and our three alpacas crave attention and hand feeding if you love animals!

We will greet and familiarise you with the cottage and services. We request you please call or email at least 24 hours prior to arrival to advise your approximate arrival time, as we live on the property but also run a wine business and need this information so we can plan to be here at the appropriate time.
This is a self-contained, self-catering property.

Cancellation and Damage Policy: As a very small boutique accommodation business, cancellations often result in an empty cottage due to booking lead times. Cancellations made 30 days or more prior to the arrival date will incur a $100 cancellation fee. This fee however may be used towards rebooking at a future date. Cancellations made less than 30 days prior to the arrival date will forfeit the full amount. We recognise that accidents can occur, but any wilful or reckless loss and damages will be debited to the guests account.
We strongly recommend the purchase of travel insurance to cover for unexpected situations requiring cancellation of bookings.
Seppeltsfield Vineyard Cottage is a non-smoking area. Guests are welcome to smoke outdoors. If we determine evidence of smoking in the cottage, we reserve the right to apply a minimum cleaning fee of $200 which will be charged to the guest's account.

Travel DirectionsTravel Directions

Directions: If approaching the Barossa Valley from Adelaide, follow Main North Road (A20) out of the city. The following directions commence at Gepps Cross, a major 5 way intersection north of the CBD, including Main North Road, Port Wakefield Road and Grand Junction Road.
Option 1. (This is the quickest & most direct route.) At Gepps Cross proceed straight ahead on National Highway 1 (A1). Travel for approximately 15 kms toward Port Wakefield. Watch for the exit signs on the left to the Northern Expressway (M20). Turn onto the (M20) to Gawler and do not exit anywhere. After 23 kilometres on this dual lane highway, it will merge with the Sturt Highway (A20).

Continue for a further 22 kilometres until you reach the Seppeltsfield/Greenock exit and follow the directions as in Option 2 below.

Option 2. (Via Adelaide's northern suburbs) At Gepps Cross, veer slightly right and follow Main North Road (A20) toward Gawler. Continue on the Sturt Highway (A20) bypassing Gawler until you reach the Seppeltsfield/Greenock exit (approx 23kms from Gawler). Exit left and proceed through the cutting to the T-junction. Turn right to "Seppeltsfield" and proceed for 2.5kms. On the right of a sweeping left hand bend you will see an unsealed road signed "Gerald Roberts Road". Our vineyard & cottage entrance is 200 metres along on the left and signed Seppeltsfield Vineyard Cottage and Milhinch Wines. Proceed down the drive and park in the cottage drive signed "Guest Parking". Please come over to the main residence nearby to collect your key.

Option 3. If approaching on Seppeltsfield Road from Tanunda or Nuriootpa: Drive toward Seppeltsfield Winery. About 1 kilometre past the winery, turn left onto Gerald Roberts Road and proceed as above.
