Travel Directions
If Traveling from the ferry at Penneshaw, travel down to the end of hog bay road, turn right at the intersection, then turn down first road on your left (Arramore road )past the airport. Turn left onto Birchmore road which will then change names to south coast road. The Caravan park is located in between Hanson bay and Flinders Chase national Park. Please note the Driving time from the ferry to the park is approximately 1 and half to 2 hours drive durring the day light hours, this may be extended if driving at night.
Things To Do
Accommodation on Kangaroo Island at The Western KI Caravan Park and Wildlife Reserve is ideally situated on 550ha of natural bush and grassland right next door to the internationally acclaimed Flinders Chase National Park , with world renowned Cape duCouedic, Admirals Arch, Remarkable Rocks. Kelly Hill Conservation Park (Kelly Hill Caves) is short drive away. The Spectacular Hanson Bay beach and South West River are close by and ideal for fishing and swimming. A drive along the North Coast road will discover many scenic beaches and coves which form part of the beautiful north coast, Western River Cove, Snellings Beach and Stokes Bay are standout attractions. Wildlife is abundant in the park and there are two short bush walks which are ideal for a close up encounter with possibly a koala, wallaby or a kangaroo. Possums can also be spotted at night.
