Yarrandabbi Dreaming B&B' is more a private, beachfront Five Star Resort, perfect for a romantic getaway, or, for friends and family planning a relaxing beachfront escape. We offer true luxury accommodation, facilities and friendly service! We won the "Best Hosted Accommodation" Tourism Award.



Located on peaceful and secluded Curlew Cove, on Macleay Island, looking towards North Stradbroke, we are set in an acre of native gardens. Hear only the serene sound of lapping water and birdsong as you sip your wine listening to your favourite music. (Most of our guests are couples and friends celebrating special events, birthdays and anniversaries).



Accommodation can be booked in either in the Bed and Breakfast's 3 bedroom suites, or, in the Luxury Self Contained 3 bedroomed apartment for six where you may choose to be totally independant.



Enjoy all we offer; the spas, the best beds and the breakfast of your dreams. Our elegant bedroom suites are tastefully decorated with fine bedroom furniture, exquisite bed linen and deluxe Sealy mattresses. Two suites have queen size beds and one has either a King size bed or 2 separate king singles. Each room is provided with large TV/DVD/CD players, private luxury ensuite spa bathrooms and floor to ceiling sliding glass doors. You can step out on your private patio overlooking the bay. All guests' rooms have private entrances and patios with outdoor furniture. All guests' areas are fully reverse cycle air-conditioned if guests so choose.



The bathroom ensuites are superbly appointed, spacious and equipped with double cornered, heated spas. The ensuites are also provided with personal toiletries, luxurious bath towels, robes and hairdryer



Champagne Breakfast weekends at Yarrandabbi Dreaming are to be relished and remembered. Served on the guests' Dining Deck overlooking the pool and Moreton Bay, these scrumptious breakfasts are a gourmet affair. We use the best from our own organic gardens and from local producers. Weekday mornings generous Cooked breakfasts are served in the Guest's own lounge dining area, or, on the Guests' deck overlooking the Bay.



A spacious open plan guests' lounge and fully equipped kitchen with a six seater large dining table and chairs are also located here. Relax in the lounge after dinner and enjoy complimentary Port and chocolates before retiring. Internet access is available.



For special celebrations, a Seafood Banquet for six on Saturday nights, for a minimum of 4 in-house guests are our speciality! Our bar stocks a pleasant selection of wines at reasonable prices, or, you may BYO.



To eat out, the island offers a Bowls and Golf Clubs, and Pub all with Bistro restaurant. The Bowls and Golf Clubsl offer courtesy transport to our guests. There are also good takeaway options, most offering delivery. Our local Fish Eatery supplies great fresh fish, oysters and crabs from the bay.



We will be pleased to set tables for your 'takeaway' dinners on the dining deck, adjacent to the "Sundowner Bar" - a romantic atmosphere when lit by candlelight!



Our Guests' own entertaining terrace and BBQ is adjacent to the 11 metres pool. Here you may relax or BBQ at your leisure. By prior arrangement we can provide you with everything you need here; utensils, crockery, BBQ meat packs, salads, breads and beverages.



Yarrandabbi Dreaming is also an idyllic setting for small weddings and renewal of vows (up to 40 people) on our beachfront, or in our gardens. We will be pleased to assist with planning your special happy day!

The trip to Macleay Island is an event in itself, the island being located in Moreton Bay approximately 5 kilometres from Redland Bay. From the time you leave the mainland you will experience the relaxation that typifies these unique islands.
Drive South East, less than 1 hour from the Brisbane CBD, or, just over an hour North from the Gold Coast, to REDLAND BAY - the 'jumping off point' to the Southern Moreton Bay Islands.

A the Weinam Creek Passenger Ferry Terminal, just off Banana Street, Redland Bay, purchase your return ticket, $17.40 for adults before you board the regular, scheduled fast, BITS - Bay Islands Transit Systems Passenger Ferry. After ticket office hours one way tickets may be purchased on board the Ferries. It takes 15 minutes to reach Macleay Island which is mostly the 2nd stop. However some departures travel anti-clockwise and Macleay would then be the third stop.

Parking at and around the Ferry Terminal is sometimes at a premium if you arrive there after 3.30pm. There is an overflow park freely available in Meissner Street, only 8 minutes walk from the Terminal.

Once on Macleay Island Courtesy transfers to and from Yarrandabbi Dreaming will be provided if you phone us on embarking the Passenger Ferry to which Ferry you have caught!

The most convenient way of reaching our lovely islands in on the Stradbroke Ferries Vehicle Barge - takes 45 mins. to Macleay Island. They leave from (100 metres away) 1 Weinam Street, just 80 metres from the Redland Bay Police Station. We offer specially reduced Barge prices for our guests. Please enquire on booking.It really does pay to bring your own vehicle if there are two or more people.

Brisbane or Gold Coast Airport transfers may be arranged on your behalf with a limousine service, Abacus Limousines, or Taxi's operate, either way the cost is probably going to be the same - $95.00 each way for up to 5 people. Veolia Bus systems operate scheduled busses from the Terminal too.

In the guests' lounge you may select reading material, or play cards, games and chess, etc, and listen to your favourite music with your friends if you have come in a group. A large dining table and chairs are provided here too. A library of books, magazines, movies and CD's are available.

Macleay Island offers many activities and pastimes to make your stay memorable, why not try some of the following (or just relax with a cappuccino coffee or a 'special' tea) on our decks:
· Take our bicycles or canoes and explore the island.
· Swim lengths or do aqua aerobics in our large pool
· Go bird watching, Macleay Island has over 200 species of birds
· Try your luck at fishing, we can provide gear and bait
· Take our Canadian Canoe and explore the bay.
· Walk the Macleay Island heritage trail, or, explore the island on foot
· Play a round of golf or a game of barefoot bowls.
· Visit the Islands museum and Art Complex
. Take our bikes on the waterbus to explore neighbouring islands
