Foxhunters Return is an elegant convict built Georgian coaching inn c1833, standing adjacent to the Elizabeth River, Red Bridge in Campbell Town in the centre of Tasmania. Located at the beginning of the Convict Brick Trail, it provides unique B&B licensed accommodation all housed within the original buildings.



The accommodation at the Foxhunters Return is comfortable and welcoming, providing four and a half star heritage accommodation of the finest quality for business or pleasure. All our beautifully appointed rooms have individual heating and ensuite facilities.



Foxhunters Return was established as a coaching inn to cater for the ever-increasing trade plying the Midlands Highway, (now known as the Heritage Highway) and has enjoyed a complete restoration lovingly maintaining the original 1830's buildings including the stables. The four and a half star accommodation provides warm, comfortable lodgings for the most discerning traveller.



Step back into the history of Tasmania with a free tour of our convict cellars and stables, with much to learn about the heritage of this fine building.



Enjoy breakfast served in the heritage dining room of this unique period property. The original stableyard is also available for enjoying some fine Tasmanian wines as the premises is licensed.



Conference facilities are offered, specialising in small comfortable meeting rooms for up to 10 people (boardroom style) or up to 16 people (theatre style), with full catering available.

We have a variety of room types and a four bedroom self-contained cottage which can cater for additional adults and children. All prices are displayed for 2 persons. Extra person rate $40 for adults per night. Children concession based on age. $20 for children under 12, $35 for children 12 to 16 per night, payable on arrival.
