Springbrook is part of the Gondwana Rainforests and is one of the most outstanding and valuable places in the world (as recognised by the Unesco World Heritage Committee). Our luxury, full timber interior chalets are nestled in their own private and romantic forest. Breath in deeply the fresh mountain air and enjoy the scent of nature unspoilt. Catch a glimpse or rare and endangered fauna. For the energetic there are National Park walks ranging from 50 meters to 16 kilometres. If spa bath and champagne therapy or a good book in front of the fire is more your style then you will not have to leave your chalet - Private, comfortable and fully self contained set amidst 14 acres of natural surroundings bordered by designated conservation corridors, each chalet offers beautiful views of the bush and glimpses of rare marsupials (eg. betongs) as well as numerous bird and reptile species.

Our Chalets/Cottages provide cooking and sleeping facilities to accommodate a couple (1 bedroom) or 4 persons (2 bedrooms). Linen and towels are provided and for the cooler months potbelly stoves or glass-front fireplaces and electric blankets are in place.

The warmth of the wood fire will keep you cosy at night and make your stay all the more enjoyable! A TV, DVD player and CD stereo system are provided in each cottage and a selection of 300 CDVs is available at reception.

Located 30 minutes from the fabulous Gold Coast hinterland. From the Pacific Motorway, Springbrook Plateau is 29km from Mudgeeraba or 42km from Nerang. Exit the Pacific Motorway at Mudgeeraba (exit 79 from the north, exit 80 from the south) and follow the Gold Coast-Springbrook Road. Alternatively, exit the Pacific Motorway at Nerang (exit 69) and follow the Nerang-Murwillumbah Road for 42km then take the Springbrook turn-off at Pine Creek Road. Both bitumen roads are steep and narrow.

Note: there is no through road access to New South Wales from the plateau.

Dominating the Gold Coasts western skyline, Springbrooks cool forests and mountain streams offer visitors views of impressive landscapes, and walks among subtropical and temperate rainforest, open eucalypt forest and montane heath. Spectacular waterfalls, cascades and tumbling creeks are dominant features in this World Heritage-listed park.

The Plateau has many lookouts with fabulous views Visit Natural Bridge by day to see a unique waterfall or after dark to discover the park's amazing glow-worms.
1.Wunburra Lookout - 30m return (5 minutes) Class 2 Wunburra Lookout has views of Purling Brook Gorge, Mount Cougal and the Little Nerang Dam.
2. Canyon Lookout 30m return (5 minutes) Class 1 Take in the superb views of Twin and Rainbow Falls, the sheer walls of the Canyon and the ocean beyond.
3. Best of All Lookout 700m return (Allow about 30 minutes walking time) Class 2 Walk through ancient 2000 year old Antarctic beech forest to a view of northern New South Wales dominated by Mount Warning (remanant volcano)
4. Purling Brook Falls Circuit 4km return (Allow about 2-3 hours walking time) Class 3 Walkers pass through open eucalypt forest of New England ash Eucalyptus campanulata, where fire-adapted species such as lepidozamias, hakeas and various wildflowers grow, before descending into the gorge to view the falls from below. A steady climb through forest brings the walker back to the picnic area.
5. Twin Falls Circuit 4km return (Allow about 1.5/2 hours walking time) Class 3 Notice the smooth, pink bark of the brush box radiocarbon dated in other parts of the World Heritage area at 1500 years, making these trees the oldest ever carbon-dated on Australias mainland.
6. Warrie Circuit 17km return (Allow about 5/6 hours walking time) Class 4 The track named with the Aboriginal word Warrie, meaning, "rushing water" crosses several creeks and gullies. The track reaches the "Meeting of the Waters" where all watercourses draining the canyon meet.
