Check In Instructions
- Standard check-in time is from 2.00 pm until 6.00 pm. Check-out time is at 10.00 am. Please take note of the following arrival procedure: On arrival at the property please press the RED button at the door (either front or back door). This will be answered by the receptionist on duty, who will let you into the building. Once inside make your way up to the second floor where you will find the keys to your apartment in a white envelope on the reception desk. Then sign the Guest Register and let yourself into your apartment. The receptionist will phone your room approximately 15-minutes after your arrival to ensure you have made it into your room safely.
Children and Extra Guests Details
Rates quoted are for 2 persons. Each additional person (including children 4 years and over) is charged $30.00 extra PER PERSON PER NIGHT. Children 3 years & under stay FREE.
Car Parking Details
Limted off-street car parking is available. There is a set down area on Elphin Road.
Travel Directions
The Lido is approximately a 10-minute walk to Launceston's CBD. If travelling by car proceed along Brisbane Street (east of the City) to Elphin Road. The Lido is just 300 metres past City Park on your left - on the corner of Elphin Road and Lyttleton Street. We are just 20 minutes from Launceston's Airport.

Launceston City has a vibrant history with strong links to Australia's pioneers and earliest settlers. The third oldest City in Australia, Launceston abounds with some of the finest examples of Victorian and Georgian architecture in Australia. The city is located at the head of the beautiful Tamar Valley famous for its wonderful vineyards and fine wines. - From The Lido, it's an easy 10-minute stoll to: The City centre with its magnificent heritage buildings, Victorian and Georgian streetscapes. Launceston's famous City Park including Albert Hall, Plant Conservatory & the Monkey Colony. The Queen Victoria Museum, Art Gallery and Planetarium. The Inveresk Rail and History Museum. The National Automobile Museum. Launceston's renowned restaurants and cafes for some of Tasmania's finest local foods, seafoods and wines. Excellent boutique shops. The Tasmanian Design Centre showing fine Tasmanian arts & crafts. Coles K Mart, Launceston Sports Centre, the Cricket Ground & gymnasium. The Aquarius Roman Baths for a swim, some pampering and relaxation. - It's a short drive to: Join a cruise of the Tamar River, or visit Launceston Lakes for trout fishing - virtually an assured catch. The wonderful vineyards of the Tamar Valley. Launceston's famous Cataract Gorge with its water etched rock formations and enchanting gardens. Penny Royal World with its 19th Century reproduction gunpowder mill. The Old Seaport with its wonderful al fresco dining and capuccino strip. - The Lido can be your starting point for the Tasmanian Wine Route, the Tamar River Valley and Lavender Farm. Places of heritage, cultural and National Trust interest in Launceston, Central and Northern Tasmania are but a short drive. We're also within an hour or two of some of Tasmania's best wildlife Parks, wilderness highlights, retreats, National Parks and explorer walks. Cradle Mountain is a few hours away - just a day trip. Then of course, there's always the prospect of siting a Tasmanian Tiger - not yet seen since the 1930's.
