Things To Do
Sarina has a very laid back atmosphere, with several beautiful beaches with great fishing located within a short commute from your base at the Tramway Motel. Sarina is famous for its sugar industry, with many sugar cane fields surrounding the town. There are many beaches within an easy commute of Sarina, with Sarina Beach about a 10km cruise away to the east. Other local beaches include Grasstree Beach, Campwin Beach, Salonika Beach, Half Tide Beach, Freshwater Point and Armstrong Beach. View our map of Sarina to see Tramway Motel's central location. The Inlet is a scenic area, with easy boat access opening up a world of fresh and saltwater fishing. Local attractions include the Sarina Golf Club, Sarina Sugar Shed, The Sarina Museum, The Field of Dreams, The Hay Point Coal Facility (the biggest coal terminal and jetty in the world), and the Mansfield Park Educational Animal Nursery. Just to the north of Sarina is Mackay, which has easy access to the Great Barrier Reef and Whitsunday Islands (including the nearby Brampton Island), as well as the Eungella National Park.
